For those who are looking to quit smoking or are looking for ways to save money while still enjoying the pleasures of smoking, the Sky Cig electronic cigarettes promise to provide an answer. One of the most popular electronic cigarettes in the UK, the Sky Cig was also voted the “Best Electronic Cigarette in the UK” in 2011 by

However, while such accolades certainly bolster the reputation of Sky Cig, does the product actually match up to the hype?

Now for the SkyCig review

Our SkyCig Review

What You Get

The Sky Cig comes with a personal charging case (PCC), 5 cartomizers, 2 batteries, the main charger and a USB charging lead. A user manual explains in detail how to set up and operate the electronic cigarette system.

How it Works

Basically, the Sky Cig electronic cigarette is basically a cartomizer which has all the appearances of a standard tobacco cigarette but is actually a hard, plastic shell. This shell can be broken down into two parts, one of which holds the battery that operates the heating element and the larger section that holds the flavor liquid that has nicotine and flavoring elements.

When you draw in on the Sky Cig, the heating element heats up the liquid and turn it into water vapor. The vapor containing the nicotine is then drawn into the lungs and released. There is no tobacco or the carcinogens from tobacco in this product.

The Sky Cig Design – Our SkyCig Review

The Sky Cig is actually well designed with the cartomizer and battery sections in two separate pieces that will screw together. The handling of the Sky Cig is natural and balances quite well. The personal charging case or PCC has been styled to mimic a standard cigarette pack that holds up to 5 cartomizers and just enough space to charge up a single battery. To the untrained eye, the Sky Cig PCC looks like an actual tobacco cigarette pack.

Once put together, the Sky Cig will indicate that it is ready for use when a small light flashes on both the side and tip of the cartomizer. It responds very well when inhaled and is extremely well constructed and designed. The battery itself will last just over an hour and takes roughly 90 minutes to recharge. The PCC itself will need recharging when it goes dead and this process can take up to 4 hours.

When tested in our SkyCig review we discovered that as an electronic cigarette, the Sky Cig performs quite well. It’s easy to assemble, smoke and charge with little difficulty in breaking down or putting together the electronic cigarette elements. There are plenty of flavors to choose from and the price is more than reasonable.

However, it must be noted that Sky Cig cartomizers are not meant for refilling purposes and this will make the product somewhat more expensive than other similar brands. However, this is a relatively small detail for those who find refilling cumbersome or annoying.

The Sky Cig is highly recommended for those who want to quit smoking or save money and their health by smoking a non-tobacco product. We feel that it is necessary to state that due our extensive SkyCig review, that this is certainly one of the best electronic cigarettes that we have seen in quite a while.
